​From December 2022 to December 2023, the Library for a Happy Future was hosted in the Climate Pavilion at Werdmühleplatz. It offered a place to find inspiration, recharge your batteries and meet people to imagine, dream and make a happy future happen. Together we created a collection of positive visions for the future and answers to the question of how we can find and maintain joy and joie de vivre despite the climate crisis.

We learned a lot during the pilot phase. Some of this was summarised by the University of Zurich in a fanzine. In this first year, we focused on five areas: lifestyle, mobility, construction, food & agriculture and consumption. Much of our experience in the founding year and in working with the Climate City Zurich association has been incorporated into the methodology of the multi-year format.
