Voci del Futuro
(voices of the future)
Ein internationales Schul- und Dialogprojekt zur Frage:
Wer sind wir – und wie wollen wir werden?
Voci del Futuro is an international school and dialogue project that explores which future competencies—so-called “future skills”—as well as values and attitudes are relevant for young people.
In times of major change, many people talk about the future, yet no one knows exactly what that means. Voci del Futuro takes a clear stance: the future does not simply happen, nor do we merely react to it. Its foundation is built in the present—through the attitudes we cultivate today.
But what values and assumptions are embedded in this? What do young people need today for the life of tomorrow—from their own perspective, from that of their parents, and from the perspective of schools?
We find answers through dialogue across generations and cultures. Students, alumni, parents, and professionals come together to engage in conversation—about skills for personal and professional futures, about identity and responsibility in a global context, and about the role of hope and encounter.
The aim of the project is to complement existing competency frameworks on future skills (Ehlers, 2024) and the future mindset (Fröse, Leifeld, and Prill, 2025) at the tertiary level with a perspective rooted in primary and lower secondary education, while involving the broader school community, and to bring these into a constructive dialogue. Through a filmed research process, the results will be made widely accessible in order to develop practice-oriented offerings.
